As mothers and educators as well as performers, the members of Auréole have embarked upon many community and youth-oriented projects including a best-selling lullaby disc, Dreamscape, with soprano Heidi Grant Murphy (Dreamscapes was selected by Parenting Magazine as “recording of the month” in September 2001, and has become a listening staple in the music library of the very young); an award-winning children’s music video, which aired nationwide on Classical Arts Showcase; recordings that engage children of all ages- among them, Suenos de Amor, a collection of lullabies and love songs from the Latin music world; and “Paint the Music”, an experimental listening/art-making project based on the kaleidoscopic color world of Auréole’s instrumentation and repertoire.
Auréole has been involved in many educational residencies including Electric Earth Concerts audience enrichment programs; Princeton Symphony Community Concerts; Indiana College and University master classes; Quad Cities Artist-in-Residence program; master classes at Gettysburg College, Sarah Lawrence College, Harid Conservatory, Lynn University: and interactive performances in public schools throughout New Hampshire and Northern Maine.
