Mary has been a member of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra since 1992. She has performed literally hundreds of operas under the batons of the world’s most celebrated conductors: Sir Simon Rattle, Daniel Barenboim, Daniel Gatti, Fabio Luisi and Donald Runnicles, to name just a few. Always seeking to balance her musical landscape, Mary is a highly sought-after chamber musician and soloist and has performed throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. She is a founding member of the nationally acclaimed, award-winning trio Aureole. The group has recorded extensively with KOCH/Entertainment One, producing an extensive discography. Her playing can also be heard on Sony Classical, and Deutsche Grammaphon.
Mary has performed with many music festivals, including Marlboro Music Festival, Grand Teton’s Music Festival, and Mostly Mozart. She collaborated with such luminaries as Felix Galamir, Rudolph Serkin and the Guarneri String Quartet. Mary is active in the commercial music field and has performed live on the Steven Colbert, David Letterman, and Conan O’Brien television programs. Radio performances on NPR include Performance Today and New Sounds. She has had the privilege of performing and recording with pop super stars Paul McCartney, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Rod Stewart, David Bowie, Queen Latifah, Patty Labelle and Luther Vandross.
Mary graduated from The Curtis Institute of Music and earned her Masters of Music at the Mannes College of Music, where her teachers were Walter Trampler, Michael Tree and Karen Tuttle.
